Welcome to the Website of the English Second Language Teachers' Network (ESLTN)

Founded in the Spring of 2000, the ESL Teachers' Network is a member defined network that exists to support the needs of ESL teachers in Quebec. The ESLTN was founded by a unanimous vote at the first meeting on June 9, 2000 and a steering committee was elected.

Many ESL teachers find themselves feeling very isolated with few resources available to them. Teachers deal with a variety of different schools and programs. Finding support can be a challenge. ESLTN hopes to fill that gap by providing a network for ESL teachers to communicate with each other, to find resources and support and by providing a platform for teachers to address the issues and problems they face daily.

In reality, this group will become what the members want it to be by their input and work. We hope that you will join us to explore these issues and to form a supportive network for ESL teachers.
